At Campbellfield Heights Primary School, we aim to ignite a passion for learning in our students while enhancing their English skills. Our school-wide approach ensures consistency in teaching, learning and assessment. Our teachers utilise the Victorian Curriculum to design and implement programs that are tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of each student. We employ a variety of teaching strategies across all year levels to reinforce these skills.

Our Literacy Block combines Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. We place a strong emphasis on reading comprehension, text decoding, vocabulary usage, idea development and the correct use of grammar, punctuation and spelling.

During Literacy sessions, students enhance their skills and knowledge through a mix of whole-class, small group and individual instruction. This approach caters to varied learning needs and encourages all students to become independent readers, writers and communicators.
